Fabrication Support Centre

Overview

The Fabrication Support Centre (FSC) was established in May 2001 as a department service centre. The main functions of the FSC are to provide technical supports and fabrication of parts for undergraduates, postgraduates and academic staff for their research projects.

In addition, the FSC also provides machining training for 3rd-year ME students doing their Workshop Practice and BTech 2nd-year students doing their CNC Programming.

The Centre also assists and guides the FSAE group and 3rd-year students in their design and fabrication works for their ME3 Design Projects & Competition.

Facilities

The major equipments in the Centre comprises mainly of CNC milling, CNC turning, machining centres and CNC wire-cut machines.
